Katie plays a very unique character and I love this quirky film ! 👛🧤

Well, sometimes I think I just read the critics here - and then only watch the movies they hate. But at least the users were right: This is a little jewel of a film and Katie Holmes was never better. I loved every minute, I laughed and I was afraid - big recommendation!

Rented it for $1 on iTunes and felt ripped off. It’s like a slow superficial version of The Brave One with Jodie Foster. The constant use of quotes from poems and such for lines, makes it really annoying, like fingernails on a chalkboard. Very predictable, bland and shallow. It doesn’t give you enough to make you feel anything for any of the characters. I felt like it was a waste of my time.

If Mary Poppins and Charles Brunson had a daughter, this would be her. I don't want to give away too many details, but that pretty well sums it up. I wasn't sure if I would like from watching the trailer, but I decided to watch 15-20 minutes to see if it would grab my attention. Next thing I know, I'm an hour in and loving it! Very entertaining. I'm proud to see Katie doing a different style movie. I really enjoyed this movie. Would highly recommend it! 👍👍👍

Movie reminded me of "Hot Fuzz" in that the main character, Miss Meadows, imposed her idea of Utopia on her community & thereby justifying her murderous ways. So quirky that I was compelled to watch this to the end.

Wow-what a good movie!

Don’t get why it got such bad reviews on rotten tomatoes. It has its flaws, but I found it quite entertaining. It has hard to categorize it as it is quite refreshingly odd. Or rather the world itself is quite normal, but the main character definitely has issues. But not in a way you are used to. I thought that was part of the appeal in that you couldn’t quite figure out what the deal was with her so you watched to try to understand her better. It isn’t a movie that gives you all the answers. You got to think some for yourself.

Movie has an original theme but a slow developing story makes it painstaking to watch. Katie Holmes did excellent acting with her portrayal as Miss Meadows saving the movie from being a complete loss. Therefore, I give it a two star and suggest it as a rental not a purchase.

It is hard not to be charmed by Miss Meadows. Totally off-beat with really quirky lines. Pay attention to get all the irony. Ridiculous in a good way. You go, Katie Holmes!

The film critics must be on an anti-Katie jag. I've never particularly cared about her before this, but she's great here in a role she must have loved. And it's a really good movie. Not for everyone, but if your taste runs to the strange, to dark comedy and the John Waters-ish, check it out. I liked it a lot.
