Peter and the Wolf is one of my absolute favorites. My music teacher in elementary school used to play this film for us all the time, and I never got tired of it. It's what really inspired me to get into music and instruments. Peter and the Wolf is one of those movies that will stick with me always, and one that I'll never turn down an opportunity to watch. Everything about it is so fine tuned, pun intended, and it's a great way to learn about these classical pieces and instruments.

This is simply a wonderful and creative adaption of the classic music with a genuine Russian "feel" to it and beautifully sound coordinated. Terrific for the entire family and especially for children beginning to be exposed to grreat clasical music and this famous story. WELL worth the cost and time!

One of the best animated short films around and it even won best animated short oscar in 2010. The final twist in the relationship of hunter and hunted is brilliant. You know you don’t want your children to grow up as mindless Disney drones, so sit them in front of this and they will see that life is much more exciting / scary / complicated than they had been led to believe. My 3.5 year old was spellbound.

The artistic quality is beyond belief, including effects like depth of field and hand held camera movement that simulate an actual film camera. I've watched this many times and never tired of it.
