Great movie with a solid message. Good for the entire family.

I’ve watched this movie many times, and it never gets old. An inspiring and touching story. Great acting too.

- I chose the movie mainly because I live about a mile and a half away from the Mavericks so I thought it migth be worth seeing despite the low RT rating. However, I thought that I chime in with the many positive reviews which thankfully balance the 31% on RT, whith the information that it is a cute little movie that is very enjoyable even when you are not into surfing.

I think that overall this movie was suspenseful, touching, and just awesome.

The critics don’t get it, It’s phenomenal. If I was to change one thing it would be to incorporate faith in God in the message. It’s got that one missing piece; the question that’s never answered, and they sort of hint at Him by saying “I was put here on this Earth for this purpose”, but the never specify who put him here. Also Frosty has a skeptical perspective in terms of Faith and that couple also have been used to tie in the Faith based message. Love the film, though. Matthew 3:2🙏

Gerard Butler is the sexiest actor; amazing charisma on screen.

This movie is so inspiring to me. I really now want to be a pro surfer and surf a maverick. This is a movie I think all people of all ages should watch. One of my favorite parts is when he faints in class.😂

When I watched this movie I lived near Santa Cruz and was having work done on my house. The local contractor I used was incredibly slow; as slow as someone who preferred to go surfing rather than work on a roof in Scotts Valley. I'm maybe biased in favor of this movie because it's so personal.
