Description

Viewed at a distance, the world of mountain biking is a disjointed network of seemingly similar but disconnected communities. Freeride. Downhill. Big Mountain. All Mountain. Dirt Jump. Slopestyle. A sport of individuals, equally defined by their many differences, as the common threads that bind. And while our story doesn't follow a straight line, we all end up in the same place. Tire to ground, foot to pedal, hand to bar – communities drawn together by trails of dirt. A new action sport documentary, Strength in Numbers is a rally call to connect all mountain bikers, regardless of location or language or discipline. The film captures a true way of life, from the world's best pros to those who are just learning to love the sport. Shot over two years in some of mountain biking's most iconic locations, Anthill's signature style combines compelling stories with core action to create a shared experience that unites all riders. The cinematography is breathtaking. Showcases amazing talent while giving you insight into the culture of mountain biking and some of the people and places that make it up.
  • Meh. It's ok. Great photography. Poor selection of MTB action.

The film doesn't show any cross country riding or racing. It basically gives XC the finger. Thanks Trek! Like you don't make any XC bikes. If this movie were a Rush fan its favorite song would be Tom Sawyer. It would have never even have heard of The Countdown. It only shows trendy free riding and downhill. Real mountain biking involves skills such as…CLIMBING and descending. Taking a lift or chopper to the top is NOT mountain biking. It's posing. It appears the point of the movie was to show the camaraderie amongst mountain bikers. It does without saying that anyone who is into anything will usually have others who enjoy the same thing. I think only the Unabomber was alone in his activities. If I wanted to watch downhill and free ride I'd have just fired up RedBull TV or Apple TV for free. I wasted $12.99 on this piece of bloatware.
  • Best bike movie yet!

This incorporates many aspects of riding that they have not recognized in the past, and they finally had scenes outside of BC! To my fellow riders: get this movie!
  • Not your typical bike movie…

If you're just looking for riding, and riding along, this isn't your movie. But if your vision is stories, seeing riding in amazing locals, and to be flat out be inspired, then this is the perfect movie for you. I'm more of a XC guy on the bike, but I love this film. Pumps me up every time I watch it. Love the Whistler section. As a mountain biker, this is a film I'm proud of, and one I can point that demonstrates all that's good about our sport.

The cinematography just blows you away, in conjunction with the overall story and flow. Well made film, with so much passion involved. Cheers to getting out and riding!

This movie is 50% riding and 50% filler
  • One of the best action sport films ever

While it pulls out all the stops of a standard bike movie. It has something else besides great riding and cinematography. The narration and little stories throughout the movie make you proud to be part of the mountain bike community or make you want to join it.
