Description

In the film critics call "a white-knuckle action thriller," ex-cop Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington, Avatar & Clash of the Titans) escapes from prison to plan the ultimate heist: steal a $40 million diamond from cutthroat businessman David Englander (Ed Harris), and in the process prove his innocence. From the ledge of the famous Roosevelt Hotel, with the whole world watching, Cassidy plays a clever game of cat & mouse with the NYPD while his dutiful brother Joey (Jamie Bell) works against the clock to extract the diamond and clear his brother’s name.

To be quite honest Man on a Ledge wasn't my expectations seeing it because nothing felt important and all the trailers were misleading and confusing for it to be a overlong pointless crime drama that takes five hours to develop characters and take the uptight tension that is happening in the movie. Although the movie has a stellar cast including Sam Worthington (Terminator Salavation, Avatar.), Ed Harris (Snowpiercer, A Beautiful Mind, The Way Back, The Truman Show, Apollo 13 and The Rock), Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect, Seabiscut, Spider-Man, The Next Three Days) all starr in this poorly written thriller that only aims at the well-being of the characters and not the actual tenison that is being built and oganaized. Despite it's stellar cast, Sam Worthington gives his best to give a wonderful performence but fails at that extreme because this movie is yet confusing and fails at being a Hollywood postpointed blockbuster action thriller that lives the audience to a thud. Still I remember every single momment of this movie watching Sam Worthington try to commit suicide by deciding to jump off a ledge because of a crime the character of the film accomplished. I won't recommend Man on a Ledge it's boring, cheesy and to lacklusting for poorly written characters and a sloppy script which makes Man On a Ledge so unlikable and distasteful-rating 2/10

I never write reviews, but tis time I have to. I is such a bad movie and does not make sense in so many ways. It is even annoying at times (the brother and girlfriend arguing). It simply can not be that this movie got so many 5 star ratings, it’s clearly some people trying to push this movie. Safe the money and time.
