While True Blood is by far, in my humble opinion, the best of the Vampire series, it seems to have taken a bit of a dive in the later seasons. The first and third season are arguably the best. The writing, characters, and overall story lines were just way better. While I think they did a great job taking liberties and not following the books 100%, it seems that by the 4th season on, there are just way too many sub plots.

....abandoning ANY pretense of logic, consistency or even being interesting. Each season is a little stupider and a much more vulgar.

They ruined the nice story from the first 3 seasons. Season 4 was OK but this season just sucked. The whole Lilith thing is so stupid. And Tara is a vampire? Yes I did read the books maybe that's why I just can't find myself getting into that. I mean, I didn't expect it to be exactly the same as in the books and first 4 seasons weren't the same but I still liked them but in this last season it felt like a totally different show/story. I haven't started to watch the new season maybe I won't even try.

Love this show, however why suddenly this season, is the show not available for download on iTunes? Really disappointed that for some reason Australia has this show before the U.S does. I would really like to see if Season 6 is better than Season 5 ---- hopefully we don't have to wait too long to find out.

Love this show. Is it possible to buy the series and get access to the show as it is shown on HBO. I do not have cable and am not interested in getting cable for a couple of shows. You would probably make more money if you gave more people access to the show.

I haven't started this season yet ! I can say the previous seasons were amusing and completely worth watching!

I've been a fan of the books and the series since they both started. I like the actors, and the way it is done, but the story on the show is so far off the rails, it has lost it's way. Hopefully the next season can come back to life in better shape than Elvis did.

True Blood all together gets 5 stars! If I can give it more stars i would! Season 5 was my least favorite I have to say, season 1-4 were better. But this season is not as bad as everyone is saying. If you're a true fan, buy this season.

See, I understand that Alan Ball is trying to make the show provocative for people like me, who HAVE read the books- by deviating from the origonal plot. I LIKE that he's doing this- I just don't like HOW he's doing this. After seeing Season 5, It becomes clear that he took that idea and ran with it....a bit to far. I think that in his attempt to make it stimulating- He has made it convoluted and the content of the characters we fell in love with has suffered for it. That being said- I'm hanging in there and hoping he Recovers from this. However- If certain Characters or incarnations of said characters do not appear that are CRUCIAL to Sookie's make-up...(Such as Niall and Mr. Cataliades) It will have been in vain. Get on the Ball, Mr.Ball! :D

Is there any way I can just rent the season as opposed to purchase?
