I do not envy the task Supernatural had after Kripke departed: in Season 5 the show brought out the literal Devil, that’s a tough baddie to top. Unfortunately the whole premise of the Season was seriously lacking to me, the Leviathans were not a truly great threat. On top of this I generally found myself uninterested in the side-plots with Cass, Bobby, and even Sam working with the wall taken down in his head. I feel like each of these could have been done well and the acting supports that they should have had an impact, but maybe due to the fact each of these characters has died hundreds of times by this point I really felt no danger for them, and I think this was the first season it totally sunk in that this was going to be a problem going forward. The character relationships were the only thing that saved the season for me, however that was more so relying on what previous seasons had done better.

It’s an alright show. It was great but there are to many character flaws and loopholes to be taken seriously like it was intended. The only way they can make up for it is to kill Dean for good and send him to hell like he deserves. What a piece of crap Dean is.

I started watching around the 4th season and I'm hooked. Love the rock and roll music. Great show
