Carla’s 50th birthday is weighing heavily on her, but a mysterious pearl necklace jolts her out of her lethargy. Determined, she searches for the owner and supports all her friends in every way. And so, a wonderful birthday celebration finally takes place - with just the girls. Jess is running away from her feelings for Daniel and decides to write a bestseller to become financially independent. In doing so, Carla’s pearl necklace inspires her to write a tragic love story. But Gisela gently points out to Jess that her love for Daniel could also end tragically. Lara’s unscrupulous ex-husband threatens to take her children away. With Valerie’s help, Lara falsely claims to be a future board member of Emka in order to secure a top lawyer for the custody battle. Britta overreacts when Lilly plans a date with her older boyfriend. Carla advises trust instead of prohibitions. But Lilly should set boundaries if she doesn’t like something about the date.
