Description

The highly anticipated sequel to one of the scariest films of all time, [REC] 2 picks up 15 minutes from where we left off, taking us back into the quarantined apartment building where a terrifying virus has run rampant, turning the occupants into mindlessly violent, raging beasts. A heavily armed SWAT team and a mysterious government official are sent in to assess and attempt to neutralize the situation. What they find inside lies beyond the scope of medical science—a demonic nightmare of biblical proportions more terrifying than they could have possibly imagined. Above all it must be contained, before it escapes to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world outside.

The 1st rec and this one is the best zombie/ demon films I've seen .Very original wasn't expecting for the zombies to be demons but I loved it.Another plus this zombie/ demon movie is actually scary and sick as hell without being cliche or overdoing in a way that makes it comical.Even if you don't speak the language trust me get it you don't have to read that much.Love this movie:)
  • Grade-A sequel, delivers just like the first yet adds just enough to be original.

Brilliant extension to it's predecessor, if you enjoyed [REC] it's a must see.

Frightening and original, Rec 2 is definitely worth a watch. I didn't even notice reading the subs. The movie presents a mix of religious horror and zombies that is more than effective of scaring the viewer!

I only watch foreign films with subtitles. So I can't comment on the english dubbed voices. This film is always moving forward, keeping you glued and engaged; it's scary, intense, and entertaining. Even more importantly it never dumbs itself down nor tries to outsmart itself. The situations never seem contrived or excess. Some don't like "knowing" why this is happening but I like the explanation given as to why these events have transpired. Worth the time, worth the scares, worth a buy. Number 3 is coming soon.

Picking up literally right where we left off in [REC], this movie follows a doctor and police team into the grim apartment building in an effort to contain the infection. This is a well-made film, utilizing the same camera style as the first and even upping the ante by adding in multiple cameras. The acting is good and the zombies are still scary. As far as sequels go, the continuity is well done and everything feels proper. The problem I have with this movie is ultimately with its substance. Much of what made the first [REC] so terrifying was the sense of the unknown. It seems like there is something odd at play, that the police know something, but we are left to fend for ourselves in a building full of some of the most terrifying creatures on film. The final scene of [REC] in the upstairs apartment is so jarring because it opens up a whole host of possibilities for the viewer and introduces the disgusting, mangled girl who finally takes the reporter at the end. This movie will answer all of those questions definitively and the answers are not so exciting. So unless you're dying to know exactly what is going on in that building, skip this movie because it softens the first one significantly without really upping anything in terms of action or style. This movie is to the first as the final ten minutes of The Last Exorcism are to the rest of the movie: too much disappointing information that I wish I could forget.
  • As good or better than the first

I liked the first and this one was as good if not better than it. There was a deepening to the overall plot and apparently there will be a third, possibly a 4th, and maybe even a 5th. Can't wait for the third to come out!
  • Watch Quarentine instead.

Quarentine was better and Quarentine 2 was awesome too. I give it 4 stars for being the original story. If you choose to watch one, choose Quarentine.

Definitely better than the Quarantine movies although I like those too. Wish the would have went a different way with the infection but it's still really good.
