A darkly comic fairytale set somewhere between the worlds of Hans Christian Andersen, The Brothers Grimm and Tim Burton, THE CONTINUING AND LAMENTABLE SAGA OF THE SUICIDE BROTHERS is set in the black forest woods of fairytale Bavaria. Brothers Barath (Tom Mison) and Bourbon (Rupert Friend) break up the clockwork-like monotony and boredom of their everyday lives by repeatedly trying to kill themselves while forever overlooking the presence of their fairy companion (Keira Knightley) who tries to show them that life is worth living.

    If you like films that have story (e.g. every good film), this isn't what you're looking for. I made the mistake of trusting the 4.5 star rating, and I'm out $2.00. This film is pointless, boring, with very little creativity and (at points) obnoxious. Everything you'd want to see is in the trailer. Same your time, save your fare. Best, friends.

    Sorry, I must have missed it entirely. Tim Burton is a true genius. This doesn't even come close to being in his league, therefore any comparison is simply ridiculous. I kept waiting for some semblance of a story, here, something that would live up to its clever, enticing title. I didn't find any. Not only did I fail to understand why these guys wanted to kill themselves but I didn't care. There are plenty of truly good short films, This isn't one of them.

    This movie was not long enough to be compared to Tim Burton. It takes a certain skill to be able to make Edward Scissorhands, or Beetlejuice, as long as they were and make people want to watch them all the way through. Please stop making stupid Plot Summaries if you can. This is the review of the Plot Summary. I thought the movie was great! It was perfectly timed with Keira Knightley.

    I loved everything about this short film! Very interesting and unique. I've watched it several times now and it never gets old. I highly recommend it!
