I bought this and then read some of the reviews- I'm not sure what a few of those people were watching but this is a GREAT short movie- it gave me and my office 15 minutes worth of great entertainment! It was a little dark and yet had a sense of humor! The ending was a great surprise! - Not what I thought it would be at all - Maybe the negative reviews were from people that take themselves too seriously - This short reminds me of early Tim Burton stuff- - definately worth the money- I hope to see more like this !

I thought this was fairly lame. The story is not that interesting and they make a big deal of her being in an "asylum" like we haven't already figured that out. It does nothing to break stereotypes about mental health issues, it just reinforces bad stereotypes. For that alone I would give this a bad starring, but this film just doesn't succeed on many levels. Acting? Eh. Plot? Eh. Direction? Eh. Try another short like Ausreisser (The Runaway). That is a great one!

This was my first regretful purchase on itunes. If the movie had less annoying of characters or at least had some form of plot or meaning to it, maybe it wouldn't be so terrible. A majority of the story is nothing but an undead boyfriend overdramatically displaying his love in a convenient store. I bought this movie after reading the reviews because it was compared to the movie Beetlejuice, mentioned a character pulling out his beating heart, and was described as somewhat of a dark love story. The only thing Beetlejuice about it was the opening theme song which sounded like a Danny Elfman creation and that's about it. The dead boyfriend was annoying to look at and reminded me of a cheap impersonation of Christopher Lloyd. The dialogue was, for a lack of a better word, stupid. It does deserve one star because the song during the closing credits was exceptional.

this short film definately caught my eye when I read the description. I figured it would be dark but yet it was completely hilarous and very well made! I'm very impressed by it! I think all people who loved Bettlejuice should purchase this!

I honestly bought it because the punk guy is hot. lol i did a little research and found out he used to be on Boiling Points. The film overall was a sort of dark comedy in my opinion and did remind me a little of Heathers during certain scenes. The acting was pretty good and the plot was unimportant. The twist at the end was quite funny. Go buy this film it's worth the price of admission.
  • Definitely not worth 2 bucks, as cheap as that sounds

Sort of Beetlejuice, elements of Clerks, a bit of My Boyfriend's Back, and sadly, no originality or talent to be seen in this super derivitive, badly acted, badly edited, mess of a film. For Film 101 starters, we don't even have a character to root for. Are we on the dead ex-boyfriend's side? Should we side with the girl? What about the current boyfriend? What about the backstory with the ex and the girl? Why does the main character sometimes have magical powers like Beetlejuice and sometimes have nothing? Why can he be killed? Why does the main boyfriend spend most of the movie staring like a deer in headlights? OK, maybe I'm reading too much into this. Maybe it's supposed to be dumb fun, like the Evil Dead movies. Except, where are the really funny lines? Where is the tight editing that doesn't leave a lot of dead silence in between jokes? Where's the gore? Where the heck was the blood around that heart? And what does that ending mean? Was it all a dream?! It makes no sense!! Godforbid you spend 2 dollars on this. This is the first waste of money I've downloaded from this shorts section. Ugh.

Here's a beautifully timed comedy with just the right balance of dark humor and romance. It reminded me of the sarcastic thriller humor of Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly). I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who can't tolerate an undead vampire tearing his still-beating heart of out of his own chest, but I will say they handled it tastefully.

This is a hilarious little film. It's full of laughs and awkward silence. It reminds me very much of Tim Burton's work (God bless him), especially 'cause the girl reminds me of Winona Ryder. The story itself, in my opinion, is not completely original, but it's just how the movie's taken out that makes it so great. Worth seeing more than once!
