Everything written in the synopsis and by the professional reviewers above is true. Except they all omit the devastating conclusion. It is the cruelest of cruel tricks that the director plays on his audience. What a twisted individual. I'm sure he justifies this betrayal in the name of raising the public's conciousness of farm animals nurtured only for eventual slaughter. Fair enough. Point taken. But to do it such away as to sucker your audience like this is beyond shameful. The saddest thing I have ever seen commited to film
