John Lewis was a Warrior, fighting for what’s JUST! An excellent documentary that should be watched as a family. This should be used as reference material in history classes; so that ALL children are taught about giants other than MLK Jr. AND Harriet Tubman. It was a fitting tribute: The raised box that once supported the president most responsible for ending slavery now carried the first Black lawmaker to lie in state in the Rotunda, a man who dedicated his life to ensuring that with freedom came equality.—The New York Times

This humble man went to battle for equality and civil rights with only weapons of faith and conviction. He taught us we must continue to fight for justice or it will be taken away.

This was such a masterfully-crafted documentary about one of the most beautiful souls to grace this country (if not this earth). I highly recommend it--for the history, the filmmaking, the levity, and the inspiration--to get in good trouble, necessary trouble.

This documentary shows the true beauty of this man!! He had such a gentle soul and heart. He fought tirelessly for the good of us all. I cried after watching this. I hope he will never be forgotten and that we honor him through action. Let’s continue to get into good trouble, necessary trouble.

Excellent biography of Civil Rights leader and Congressman John Lewis. A must for any student of American history.
