It's not the best of the 3, but it's still a very interesting movie during this time in 2020. Ron, Tom and everyone did a great job. Also great music too.

BUT (spoiler) it's does not follow the story accurately! The most important part is changed. The part about the virus release....booooo. I like the real story better
Mediocre

Despite an intriguing premise and good actors. The film is ruined by an implausible and downright stupid narrative.

This movie is hard one for me to grade because it's still a fairly good thriller and there is a lot to take away from it. It just doesn't feel like the others. It has a different aspect ratio, it's shot on digital, the soundtrack isn't nearly as good as the other two and it's just been too long since Angels and Demons for this movie to still feel relavent. But it's still a good watch. You just have to accept it for what it is...different.
Cool version of Inferno

What we have here is the manipulation of a fantastic book by Ron Howard. He may make lots of money on this movie, just because it's a Dan Brown, but it isn't right of Dan to authorize this butchering of his wonderful novel. The book was amazing. This was disappointing.
woah... what is this?!?!

My feelings, opinion, and experience mirror other reviewers who reiterate their disdain; don't bother buying, renting, or let alone watching this movie.
I read the book and I despise this movie (Columbia Pictures, Ron Howard, and Dan Brown should be embarassed and horrified at what they've created).
Completely unrealistic

In short: nutcase billionaire wants to wipe out half of humanity to safe the rest. Right... His girl friend is in it too. Right...
Tom Hanks does the usual running around from one cultural iconic building to another to find the next clue.
Acting is ok, but background research by the director is below standards. The Istanbul Cisterns rebranded as "Sunken Palace"? Really??
I agree with Tomatoes: the movie is rotten.
I wish I could leave no stars.

The other negative reviews are spot on. If you've read the book, you'll likely hate the movie. I tortured myself to keep watching after only 5 minutes. The movie is Ron Howard's worst work. Terrible adaptation.
Dan Brown is a masterful writer. Whoever wrote this script is not. After reading the book, I found myself longing to tour Florence, Venice and even Istanbul. I found myself wanting to read The Divine Comedy. I googled Dante's Symphony by Liszt. Brown described many fascinating places in three historic cities.
He crafted great plot twists, highlighted a serious concern for us to wrestle with, tugged at our ethical consciences, taught us art history, and did it all with rich characters.
This movie re-wrote characters, betraying the very plot of the story. The story was hurried. There was no time to appreciate the cities or to grasp their historic personalities. The dialogue was extremely awkward, not only lacking faithfulness to the book, but dismissing the very characters themselves. An overall betrayal to faithful fans. This movie is the epitome of bastardizing a story to appeal to easily amused masses.
In the end, it seems as though the screenwriter has taken on the character of Bertrand Zobrist. But instead of rearranging the levels of hell and creating a plague, has rearranged a great book and plagued the brains of those of us who desire more than two hours of becoming a mindless zombie.
But hey, if you haven't read the book and don't mind ridiculously cliche Hollywood movie scripts, knock yourself out. I suppose it is possible that this movie is suspenseful. I wouldn't know. I was too busy feeling disgusted and angry at every corner. I can't believe Dan Brown would allow them to rewrite the DNA of a brilliant book and make it intellectually sterile.
