    Nothing great, a good film.
  • You need to read the books!

The 6 books are awesome, and illustrate the quirky and funny and powerful dynamics between Carl and Assad so much more than the movies. To me, it is the relationship between Carl and Assad that set the Dept stories apart from all the other authors and books. The humanities in the Dept Q stories are also the most heart wrenching.

I've always read others and never felt the need to write one myself, until now. Incredible plot with good twists and turns. One word - WOW!!! I'm definitely hooked on this.

Superb thriller. Excellent story, acting, photography, much better than what Hollywood puts out.

My wife and I really like these kinds of shows; foreign cop dramas. This one delivered. Watching the next two in the series ASAP. Highly recommend, although parts are a bit disturbing/bloody.

I watched the trailer on a whim, and decided to give the movie a watch. Loved it, and can't wait for the next two! This was highly entertaining without all the traditional American film gasoline explosions, overly choreographed fight scenes, etc. The excellent storytelling, realistic characters, and well thought out plot kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I highly recommend this movie!
  • Dept. Q is what BBC's Luther is.

I love detective genres, and never hearing of Dept. Q I decided to rent it. I absolutely love the two protagonists; one is a heavy, melancholy inspector with a negative view on life in general. One can tell immediately the crime life chose him at birth to stop deranged criminals because he's great at what he does, at a high cost of not finding love. His partner is charismatic and still be able to see the good things in life. An introvert and extrovert as partners is an interesting take. The violence is there as much as the drama.

Didn't know what to expect but I am a big fan of "Nordic noir" and this didn't disappoint. Great acting and really good, dark story line has me hooked (watched all 3 Dept Q films - really good)
